Auction!

On 1st August, we’ll be holding an auction of all the items which have been kindly donated to help us raise funds for TRAT. There are a few more items to come before the auction to do keep checking the page.

Our thanks go out to all those who have donated these fantastic items – it’s not too late to join them so call or email Bryony if you would like to add something to the auction. Goods and services are all welcome, so while your auctionable item could be a ‘thing’, it could also be an offer of babysitting, IT/web skillz, gardening or similar. You could make something – my mum’s baking us a cake (thanks Mum!) or you could do something funny, like another charity auction item we heard about recently where the fundraiser auctioned ‘Splat a pie in my face!’ The only limit is your imagination!

Our auctioneer is the lovely Steve Martin – many thanks for donating your time Steve.

How to bid

To bid on an item, come along to the auction or make us a pre-emptive offer. If the offer is acceptable, we might be able to secure the item for you in advance of the auction. Alternatively if you can’t make it on the day but would like some vicarious auction thrills, send us a sealed bid and if yours is greater than the winning bid on the day, you get the item! (Bidders will be told in advance if there’s a sealed bid on the table and the sealed bid will not be opened till after the hammer falls.)

When is the auction?

The auction is at 6pm on Saturday 1st August at our home in Norbiton. The party starts at 1pm and all are welcome. There’s a Medieval Fight Club swordfighting entertainment from 2-4pm, with the chance to get involved, handle swords and take part in a shield wall. There is also a children’s activity and children of all ages are welcome. We’re also offering tandem rides and there will hopefully be other entertainments on the day! Please contact Bryony or Iain to RSVP and get the address of the party.

Happy bidding!

Bryony and Iain
